Annual Fall Conference

Each year the Association of Municipal Administrators, Nova Scotia (AMANS) hosts our flagship event, the AMANS Fall Conference. We welcome municipal employees of all levels, from all corners of Nova Scotia for three action-packed days of professional development, collaboration, and networking.

AMANS will host the 2024 AMANS Fall Conference. The event will happen from September 23-26, 2024 at the Halifax Tower Hotel & Conference Centre.

The Fall Conference holds the AMANS Annual General Meeting (AGM). Members are provided with a financial update, AMANS committee and staff reports, and an update from the AMANS president. Membership also votes on candidates for the Board of Directors and the Execument Committee, as well as votes on issues at hand.

In addition, the Fall Conference engages participants with stimulating speakers, pertinent sponsors, and relatable panel discussions. The Conference provides a platform to exchange best practices in municipal governance, discover new and upcoming innovations created to increase efficiency in local government, and so much more.

Annual Spring Conference

The AMANS Spring Conference is an annual two-day event for municipal staff from Nova Scotia. Conference attendees come together to discuss shared knowledge, best practices and strategies, and emerging issues and opportunities.

The Cumberland Region hosted the 2024 Spring Conference. The event took place from May 22-24, 2024 at the Fox Harb'r Resort | Fox Harbour, Nova Scotia.
