Our 2019 Fall Conference will be hosted by the South Western Shore Region. The types of rooms available and associated cost are listed below. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-667-4637 and referencing the Association of Municipal Administrators to receive our group rate. All reservations are guaranteed by a major credit card or purchase order for direct billing to the municipality. The cancellation policy is one week prior to the guests' date of arrival. The penalty for not cancelling before this time is a charge of first night's room and tax. Breakfast is not included in the room price.

The Fall Conference committee has put together a fantastic program with a theme of Challenge Yourself in Change. There is no doubt municipalities must balance constant change and innovation in order to evolve to meet the needs of their communities. The sessions at our conference will give you new ideas, test your old way of thinking, and leave you feeling energized and motivated to tackle the important projects in your municipality.

Flu Shots

AMANS is bringing in a nurse from the NSHA to administer the flu shot. The flu shots will take place in the back of Digby Hall, behind a skirted screen. People can fill out a form at the conference, or bring one pre-filled out.  pdf Download the flu shot form here (125 KB) .

Long Service Awards

Members are asked to submit nominations for Long Service Awards that are presented at our Fall Conference, during the Annual Banquet. Recipients of the Long Service Recognition Certificate must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently hold a membership with the Association
  • Have been a member of AMANS for at least five years; and
  • Have had at least 20 years of employment in the field of municipal government or every five years thereafter
