 nicipal administrators’ knowledge with respect to human resource managemen
 t. This module will build awareness around developing performance manageme
 nt systems\, managing employee performance and establishing goals to achie
 ve objectives. Participants will also learn management within the unionize
 d environment. This is the second of our two modules to be run in our HR M
 odule Training Series. Completion of the first is not a prerequisite for t
 his module.</p>\n<h3>Workshop Objectives</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Review developmen
 t of performance management systems</li>\n<li>Establish\, implement and ev
 aluate performance management systems</li>\n<li>Learn how to review positi
 on descriptions to identify behaviours and competencies relevant to the po
 sition</li>\n<li>Learn how to conduct a gap analysis with each individual<
 /li>\n<li>Understand how to allocate resources and build training plans in
 to a performance management system</li>\n<li>Dealing with positive and poo
 r performance</li>\n<li>Understand how to have tough conversations</li>\n<
 li>Review procedures for progressive discipline</li>\n<li>Establish metric
 s for attendance management and increasing productivity</li>\n<li>Understa
 nd respective rights and responsibilities within a collective agreement</l
